Getting Here
If you are travelling from Southern Ontario, take Highway 400 N, then Hwy 69 North. Before entering the city of Sudbury, you will veer to the left and proceed west on Hwy 17 for approximately 3.5 hours to Sault Ste. Marie. Make your way through the city of Sault Ste. Marie and then take Hwy 17 N. If you are travelling from the USA and crossing into Canada, you too will continue your journey up Hwy 17 N. This highway will take you along the picturesque shores of Lake Superior for two hours until you reach Wawa (home of the large Canadian goose statue). Then you will continue for one more hour until you reach White River (home of Winnie the Pooh statue). Here you will make a right turn onto Hwy 631 N towards Hornepayne. You will have the option to travel five more miles to Tukanee Lake and fly with White River Air or you can continue your wilderness drive onto Hornepayne (home of the Three Bears statue) for another hour taking you to Forde Lake Air Service.
